Why owners list on VanHols
More than just "no fees".
How it works
List it free
Add photos, your park and what's included – about 10 minutes. Or send us your existing ad and we'll do it for you.
Approve requests
When bookings open, guests request your dates and pay upfront. You get an email and a text and have 24 hours to accept. Dates booked on your linked calendars will close automatically.
Get paid
Your full price plus cleaning fee will go to your bank about 24 hours after check-in, unless the guest reports a problem. VanHols takes nothing from you. You set up payouts once in your account – Stripe's secure page, about 5 minutes on your phone.
How VanHols compares
Typical fees for UK caravan letting websites, checked Oct 2026, for comparison only. VanHols features apply once bookings open.

Owner questions
Is it really free to list?
Yes. There's no listing fee, no yearly charge and no fee when a guest books. VanHols adds 12% on top of your nightly price for guests (£100 a night shows as £112) – that's how we're paid. You receive 100% of your nightly price and your cleaning fee.
Does my park allow private letting?
Most parks allow owners to let privately, but some have rules or charge for guest passes. Check your licence agreement – we'll add a park rules section to your listing.
When do I get paid?
When bookings open, the guest will pay in full when they request. Once you accept, the money is held safely by our payment provider (Stripe) and released to your bank about 24 hours after check-in, unless the guest reports a problem in that time.
How do I set up payouts?
You don't sign up to Stripe yourself. In your VanHols account, tap Set up payouts. Stripe's secure page asks for your bank details and a quick photo ID check (passport or driving licence plus a selfie). It takes about 5 minutes on a phone. Stripe checks your ID automatically – Jack never sees it – and after that you're ready to get paid.
Do I have to accept every request?
No. Every booking is a request. You see the guest's name, verification status, party size and message, and choose to accept or decline within 24 hours. If you don't reply, the guest's money is released and nothing is booked.
What about no-shows, damage and time-wasters?
Guests pay upfront, so there are no deposits to chase and no "is it still available?" chats that go nowhere. If a guest doesn't turn up, our cancellation policy applies and you're paid as normal. When bookings open, guests will verify their mobile and agree to your house rules before they can request, and confirm photo ID before check-in. You can also set an optional refundable damage deposit, and damage is reported through VanHols with evidence within 7 days of check-out.
How clean does my caravan need to be?
Clean, not spotless – an older caravan that's clean is fine, and so is normal wear and tear. It fails our cleanliness standard if guests arrive to previous guests' rubbish or food, unwashed bedding or towels, a dirty toilet, shower or kitchen, or visible mould. If a guest reports a problem within 24 hours with photos, you get the chance to fix it quickly, for example by sending a cleaner. Guests rate cleanliness in reviews, and low-rated caravans appear lower in search. Repeated valid complaints can lead to your listing being suspended. Can't get there between guests? Once bookings open, you'll be able to book a local changeover cleaner through VanHols. Full details are in our Owner Terms.
Already let your van elsewhere – can I still use VanHols?
Yes. When bookings open you'll be able to link your calendars so dates stay up to date: dates booked elsewhere close on VanHols automatically, and we give you a VanHols link to paste back, so you don't get double-booked. Keep posting in the Facebook groups too – just send people to your VanHols listing to pay safely.
Won't the 12% on top put guests off?
Guests see one clear price from the start: your nightly price with our 12% built in, plus your cleaning fee, and nothing added at checkout. The big booking sites charge guests a fee too – and they also take a cut from you. Because you pay nothing here, you can match your price elsewhere and still keep more.
What is a founding owner?
The first 50 owners to list get a Founding owner badge, a boost in search for 12 months and a free Featured spot while we launch. You still pay nothing – now or later.
Can you set my listing up for me?
Yes. Send us your existing photos and description – a Facebook post or a link to your current listing – and we'll build the listing. You check it, upload proof of ownership in your account, set up payouts through Stripe (they check your photo ID), and approve it before it goes live.
Can I still use my caravan myself?
Of course. Just close the dates on your calendar and guests can't book them.
